Blue Panther are a contemporary rock fusion trio based in Melbourne and weave a ‘unique and beautiful thread of psychedelic rock, prog-rock,punk and latin throughout their finely-crafted compositions.’

Forming in 2005 Blue Panther comprises of Mark Jenkinson (former member of 80s - 90s psych-rock/garage band The Bo-Weevils) on drums/percussion/keyboards and vocals, Oliver Frobose on bass/vocals and Lee Cardan on guitar/vocals.

The three concoct a musical trip that melds both a driving beat with liquid-like kaleidoscopic sounds accompanied with lyrics that address contemporary social themes, tales of travel, esoteric and exotic folklore.

The band regularly gig in Melbourne’s northern suburbs and in November 2008 the group recorded the basis for a full length album in a shearer’s cottage on Elmsleigh Homestead near Denliquin in drought stricken NSW. After further months of adding additional instrumentation and vocals, mixing and mastering at Atlantis & Crystal studios, the album was succesfully launched in December '09 at Brunswicks premier new music venue Penny Black and embraced by Public Radio as a ‘unique underground masterpiece.’
